This photograph shows men of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion at annual camp in Ramsey, Isle of Man in 1907.
The caption says they are Rotherham Volunteers which would mean they belong to one of the 3 companies based in Rotherham rather than either of the 2 companies based in Barnsley.
The soldiers would be wearing the all white metal cap badge with brass rose centre in their caps (seen in the Tiger and Rose volunteer badge section).
Of note is the cloth badge worn on the arm which consists of the letters 'Y&L' over the number '2' and 'V'. The badge would have been of red material with white lettering and were authorised in 1903.
