Pioneers Wearing the Broderick Cap

These Pioneers (identifiable by the crossed axe badges on their sleeves) are wearing the short lived Broderick Cap. 

The cap was introduced in 1902 and became obsolete in 1905/06 (although some regiments continued to wear it for several years after).
