65th of Foot Officers Regency Shako Plate 1822 to 1829.

On a silver star is a gilt strap surmounted with a crown with the words ‘INDIA * ARABIA ’. In the centre of the strap is a Tiger above the number ‘65’.

This is a very rare badge. The only other known example is in the Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces Museum at the Bait-Al-Falaj Fort near Muscat, Oman. The link to the 65th of Foot and Oman being that the regiment fought in the battle of Bilad Bani Ali in 1821.
