65th of Foot Officers Shako 1861 to 1869 with braid indicating rank of a Lt Col

On the Shako is a fire gilt plate with laurel wreath and a crown. In the centre of the wreath is the Garter with the motto ‘Honi soit qui mal y pense’. In the centre of the Garter is a Tiger and the number 65.
